lol We weren't arguing. We were assessing the merits of each others points. And besides, if we had actually been arguing, victory would have been mine.

Let us know how you get on. Hopefully the keyboard will start working again

Ok, I have tried both of your "fixes" with no success what so ever. However, I did find not a fix, but a weird kind of bypass. If I hold down my 'H' key (one of my defective keys) until it started typing in a text box, all my other defective keys start working as well. Whats weird is that it is only the 'H' key that does that. I don't consider this a fix...anyone got any ideas as to why this happens?

okay, there are newer Synaptic drivers available than those provided by HP. Again, this may not work but is worth a go.

Is also worth noting that some Win10 users have successfully resolved their keyboard problems by rolling back their Synaptic to older versions than those currently available from the manufacturer

Another possibility is cleaning out any collected gunk from inside the keyboard, as it may influence the behaviour of some of the buttons. Bad contact under the 'h' button perhaps????

Other than that, I don't really know sorry. (I should add I **think** I remember reading some sort of recent press release from hp about keyboard issues with Win10 and that they are trying to resolve. That is a real fuzzy memory and may not be true)

    Good luck! :)

Thanks for the help, the newer driver resolved the keyboard issue and another issue that surfaced recently. My track pad recently stopped working or for some reason, randomly inverted the mouse tracking direction. All that aside, problem solved. Thanks WhyMe!

Brilliant. Thanks for letting us know and for marking thread as solved.

See. Didn't I say I'd have won the earlier "argument" hands down. Victory most definitely would have been mine

I had a similar type of problem with my laptop, but in my case keys were repeating. So i removed keypad attached it again and everything started working fine
