Unknown "Other devices" - How to fix?

    Win 10 21H1 build 19043.1466

A few weeks ago I did a clean install of Windows. Since then Device Manager has shown two mystery devices under "Other devices":
    • "PCI Device" - Hardware Id PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A324&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_10
    • "SM Bus Controller" - Hardware Id PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A323&SUBSYS_86941043&REV_10

Doing and Uninstall and Rescan in Device Manager did not change anything. I'm not aware of problems this is causing, but it makes me uncomfortable.

I don't know when I last looked at Device Manager. It's possible this condition existed prior to my clean reinstall, but I doubt it. Seems like I have some reason to look in Device Manager every few weeks and I think I would have noticed this. But on the other hand, a few months ago one of my front panel USB ports stopped working. I doubt that's related but I don't know how to tell.

Thanks. Based on your responses plus a little additional debugging it looks like I probably need to upgrade my chipset driver. If that's the case I'm a bit surprised I'm not having more trouble, but I'm going to give it a try.

    Update:
I don't really understand installing a chipset "driver". It apparently just sets .inf files used when installing (and using?) other drivers. (And I probably am completely wrong about that.) Anyway, "installed" the chipset driver and it seemed to do nothing. I then installed the Intel Driver & Support utility but it said it was blocked from working so I tried uninstalling it. The uninstall process actually did an install. After rebooting (as part of the install process) I successfully went through the uninstall (which did another reboot).

All in all I did probably 5 or 6 reboots and at the end of all that the problem was gone. I have no idea what part of the process actually fixed the problem, but I suspect I missed a required reboot somewhere early on in the process. I now no longer have mysterious "Other" devices and have a whole grundle of new System Devices: significantly, Intel SMBuss - A323 and Intel SPI(flash) Controller - A324. I also have 5 new Intel PCI Express Root Ports, Intel Host Bridge/DRAM Registers, and maybe a few other things. I'm amazed the PC worked at all.
