    I think it's already set to AHCI. Most new computers already are set to AHCI.
    Look for this file: C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\storahci.sys

    For example... on my motherboard there is only two options. AHCI or RAID.
    So if it's not set on RAID...

    I don't think you have to worry about it. It will automatically pick the right "mode".
    If you're only reinstalling Windows, and haven't made any hardware changes... everything will be fine.

    @Samuria, it's Understandable, the Windows on pavilions are Literally Bloated on delivery.

    @cns00,

    You do not have the raid portion of the IRST driver enabled. You have the VMD portion enabled. Note that when you do a clean install of Windows 10 or Windows 11, you will need the IRST driver available on a USB flash drive, or you won't be able to see the NVMe drive to pick it to install Windows to:
    How to Configure RAID or Intel(R) Optane™ Memory with...

    Notice in your BIOS settings, the SSD is listed under Non-RAID physical disks, and on the next BIOS screen it says Status: non-RAID.

    Before any clean install, especially on a new system, I recommend exporting all the drivers to a USB flash drive:
