Local Disk D: is Gone from Both Disk Management and Device Manager

    Hello everyone!

So I have this problem with my Local Disk. I will start from the beginning on why this happened.

I have programs in that disk such as Adobe and my games. I tried opening them but it says "this folder is inaccessible" so I started /sfc scannow, dism Data: D:/ /cleanup-image /restorehealth, and chkdsk D: /f. It successfully fixed it and now I tried opening an application and its pretty slow. I became impatient and hold the power off button until it shutted down. I opened my laptop and it is there where the problem started...

I tried opening my Local Disk D: but it was corrupted. It is turned into a RAW system format. So I researched and in short I cleaned it using DISKPART. When I tried doing "create primary partition", it fails saying that "Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check). So I tried using TestDisk and other softwares (MiniTool Partition Wizard) to recover my Local Disk but it always fail.

If you were to ask the health of my drive, CrystalDiskInfo said its in "CAUTION" state.

I do not really know what to do now. The drive is both gone in device manager and disk management. It shows up in CrystalDiskInfo. What do I do?

At this point, probably little you can do - it sounds like drive has failed or is on verge of total failure,

You could try using app like RECUVA to see if you can recover data from drive (need another drive to write to) but I doubt it.

This exemplifies why backups are important - I hope you have one.

Even if you could recover, I would not trust that drive anymore - time to buy a new one.

    edit: check cables are tight.

So I cannot do anything anymore?
    that is just sad.

I have already used Recuva but it does not detect the disk.

During POST, enter BIOS. Is the drive recognized by BIOS. If it doesn't, your drive is dead.

I already have seen the BIOS and it is there. The only problem is, it does not show up in my PC as a hard-drive.

It also said that the Password was "Frozen"

I think that I will use the bootable media way and start from there. There is a repair tool in that thing so it might help. Nonetheless, can I partition my Local Disk D: only and not Local Disk C: if I try to reinstall windows?
