If you want fast search then use: voidtools

A SSD will allow a fast boot or startup.

If you configure Windows 10 search correctly to index your files and contents, it can work quite fast. I use Windows 10 Search almost every time I use my PC and don't need to use 3rd party search tools unless search for something outside of my indexed folder like a Windows OS file.

Speed up your searches compared to what? Some HDD are better and faster than others and thus they cost more than cheaper slower HDDs.

An SSD will do wonders to the old 2008 era Optiplex 755.

HDD is dead tech. In some years there will be no HDD for consumers, only for data centers (huge HDD).
A 2.5" SSD is 5 times faster than a HDD. Boots in seconds and open programs at a blink of an eye.
I've have used BX500 on many computers. They are fast and cheap.
