    It can be many things.
    Is it a i5 or i7?
On a 5yrs old laptop it's probably overheat due to a dust clogged heat sink.
Do you have a hardware monitor?
My suggestion is open hardware monitor
Download and extract to C:\Program Files (x86)\HardwareMonitor and then run openhardwaremonitor.exeLaptop freeze-hard_mon.jpgLaptop freeze-hdmonitor2.jpg

    Very good

Lost of things can cause freezing: software, hardware, etc.
Run the Lenovo driver and BIOS update software.
Run the Lenovo diagnostics overnight > full or customized tests > post images of the test selected with results

If your drive is corrupted or it's overheating a clean install won't solve the problem.
Boot from the Win 10 installation drive and on the first screen launch a CMD window (Shift+F10) and type:
    chkdsk c: /f
Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks, bad clusters, bad sectors etc.

It's a SSD so i don't think there is any bad block. sectors or clusters and clean installation of windows can be completed.

A SSD can fail as a HDD does.
