Driver Issues with Toshiba Satellite S850 (CD/DVD, CPU Fan)
I decided last week to upgrade my Satellite S850 series (PN: PSKFWU) to Windows 10. At first it seemed as though everything went off without a hitch, but after a while I noticed a few problems.
For one, the OS no longer has control over the laptop's fan. It constantly runs at low speed. I only noticed this because it took about five minutes of video gaming for the laptop to overheat and shut down.
Also, my CD/DVD drive is no longer being accessed by Windows. I have tried registry edits and uninstalling Toshiba disk creation software, no luck. What's odd to me is that the BIOS and my Linux partition are also not seeing the drive. I'm going to open up the laptop later today and disconnect and reconnect the drive to rule out hardware issues, but it had worked flawlessly until the Windows 10 upgrade.
Any help is much appreciated, and please ask any relevant questions.

I know that the CD/DVD drive is manufactured by TSSTcorp, but I can't find the model number and so I haven't been able to download the driver manually.
