    New Hard Drive


    I just put a new hard drive in my Dell 6540 laptop. How do I know what drivers I need on the hard drive?

    Look for items with exclamation points (yellow triangles) in device manager. Also items listed only as Unknown need drivers.

    If it's a regular SATA drive, you should need no new drivers.

    A new HDD doesn't come with any OS.
    How did you installed Win 10 on the new drive, by a clean install or by cloning the old drive into the new one?
