With ANY software that updates Drivers, you never really know what their source for the Drivers is. It is far better for YOU to have control over the updating and installation process. Therefore, you should always either use the Manufacturers Website [ Trusted Source ] , or Windows Updates [ Trusted Source ]. On the rare occasions that you are unable to acquire a particular Driver, then your only alternative is to source it from the Internet. BUT, beware, as there are MANY sites that offer Driver updates, some of which include extra download packages, Trial versions, Viruses, Spyware, and Malware.
Therein lies the voice of truth; pardon the pun. I do have CCleaner but do not use its updater. I use it manually, and rarely.
