It sounds like you really don't trust CCleaner at all. So don't use it.

With ANY software that updates Drivers, you never really know what their source for the Drivers is. It is far better for YOU to have control over the updating and installation process. Therefore, you should always either use the Manufacturers Website [ Trusted Source ] , or Windows Updates [ Trusted Source ]. On the rare occasions that you are unable to acquire a particular Driver, then your only alternative is to source it from the Internet. BUT, beware, as there are MANY sites that offer Driver updates, some of which include extra download packages, Trial versions, Viruses, Spyware, and Malware.

Many, many, many discussions on 3rd party driver updaters over the years on all the forums here. Consensus and majority opinion is always the same, and correct...................

    Do not use them

CCleaner was a great Temp file remover, there other apps in their suite not so much. In the last few years they have lost favor because other programs work better and have less of a footprint/ Also, when you download the "Free" app, it may contain Malware or Browser Extensions.
As stated, all Drivers are Free and available from the Manufacturer or Windows Update. You do not need 3rd party apps to download drivers and certainly do not need to pay for a program that decides for you what drivers need updating.
The bottom line is, if there are no Yellow flags in the Device Manager and all your devices are working correctly then you don't need Any Drivers.

I don't trust ANY 3rd party driver updater - full stop! But as CCLeaner's driver updater is only available if you pay for CCLeaner Pro it's a non-issue for me, I use the free CCLeaner.

+1. Once upon a time, I did a massive download of lots of the driver updater software out there, with the idea of trying out 3-4 products and then picking the best. Recently I decided to just zap that entire folder and subfolders. And I don't fell bad about that.
