    Unable to Delete Bluetooth Mouse

    Hello Forum,

I just restored my system from a Macrium Reflect image. The wireless bluetooth mouse wasn't working, so I attempted to delete it and reinstall. For some reason, I'm unable to delete the paired mouse. I was able to add the mouse again and it is working now, but I still have the paired mouse showing, and every delete attempt fails.

I've deleted all the Bluetooth drivers and reinstalled, but I'm still unable to delete the phantom paired mouse.

What's the fix to remove the paired mouse?

    Regards

    Delete the unwanted mouse in
    Control panel,
[View by - Small icons, just to see everything]
    Devices & printers.

Or use Bluetooth command line tools

My attempt to delete from the control panel, small icons view, fails as well.

I looked at the Bluetooth command line tools, and attempted to remove the paired mouse using the "btpair" command from an elevated command prompt, but I got an indication that "btpair" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Right-click on its icon and select Remove device

You were probably not in the folder where you had the btpair file.

When I click to remove the device, I get a momentary change in status from "paired" to "removing device." Then, after about 15 seconds, the status changes to "remove failed" as indicated in the screen shot above.

That doesn't sound fixable so you are left with Bluetooth command line tools.

Open the command prompt then change to the folder you have put the Bluetooth command line tools in. You can do this in one step using this command
    Code:
    CD /D "folder path"
    e.g.
    Code:
    CD /D "D:\Desktop\Bluetooth tools"
Then you should be able to use the tools' commands.
