Only issue I've had with Bluetooth device removal is being sure the one to be removed is turned off or well out of range. The Notebooks I have with Bluetooth as part of the Wireless adapter can show any BT device within range but not be connected. I use mostly BT mice but just got a SmartPhone that has BT, should be good for transferring photos.

I contacted HP Support, and after a remote support session, their recommendation was to reset the system.

I attempted the Bluetooth Command Line Tools again, and I'm able to get some commands to respond, but not the command to unpair all devices. I suspect I may have a syntax error, or I'm not typing the correct command with all the required switches.

Not sure if this helps but people with bluetooth issues have flocked here and then created an account just to thank the guy.

That's the same toolset that this OP is using.

Judging by the instructions & examples on that Bluetooth tools website, the btpair -u command does not provide any particular response so your command appears to be operating normally.

Well, I just learned something new. I followed the directions in post #8 on the thread link you posted.

Specifically, I opened Device Manager, and selected the "Show Hidden Devices" under the "View" tab.
I saw the two "HP Spectre Mouse 700" devices under Bluetooth. One appeared to be "grayed out" due to no active connection. I right-clicked, and selected "Uninstall device." The paired, but not connected HP Spectre Mouse 700 device was successfully removed.

Thank you very much for that link. It solved the problem. HP Support was clueless.

This forum always comes through. Thank you to all that posted on this thread.
