    Have you tried---Settings>Devices>Printers&Scanners>Troubleshoot your printer. ?
    Are there any reports in ---Reliability History ---which may be linked to the problem?
    Given the age of the printer,a complete uninstall and reinstall of it would be advisable,particularly the driver.
