Allow my pen to act as mouse in ALL applications, not just legacy

    Hello,

I have this huge problem with Microsoft office applications on our Panasonic FZ-G2 tablette that worked just fine with a pen but no longer does following a Windows 10 version upgrade..

Since upgrading from version 1803 to 20H2, all Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Edge, etc.), when using a pen, I can no longer use the pen to act as a mouse in the classic regular way like it used to.

When using a mouse, all is fine. You can select text without any problem on a page in Word for instance. However as soon as you approach the pen to the screen, Windows automatically detects that you are interacting with a pen and overides the mouse by switching modes. It imposes its way of doing things to interac in the applications and these are not at all user friendly. They are badly designed. For example, black circles appear with the cursor (handlers for pen use apparently) to select texte. You can no longer select text the classic way (like a mouse) by passing your pen over the text and pressing on the screen to right click and select. You have to play with those circles which are not at all user friendly. This is just one example but other issues like panning (click left button on a regular mouse) doesn't work either when clicking with your pen since the upgrade. Everything worked fine before under version 1803.

Now when you deactivate the ''Allow my pen to act as mouse in legacy applications'' in Windows 10, all goes back to normal in legacy applications (like Acrobat DC or any other non Microsoft software for instance). However this function will not overide the Windows Office applications for they are not considered Legacy.

There is no option in Windows 10 to ''Allow my pen to act as mouse in ALL applications, (not just legacy)''.

Would anybody know through the registry keys how to create an equivaalent function to allow the pen to work like a mouse in all applications, regardless they are legacy or not?

Windows 10 should strongly consider creating this option to allow the user to decide for him or herself how the pen should interac.

Thank you for your help. I desperately need a solution.
