And why have they decided to spam us with this helpful tip now? All these years they never did this nonsense. I'm hoping it's just a bug.

How bloody annoying do they want to be. I rebooted just now again for another reason and got the same Samsung spam again.

Well, I don't use their RAPID optimisations, so don't need Magician loaded all the time. That way I'm not getting these notifications all the time. I only run it once in a while to check for updates.

Problem solved. Click the "Don't show again" button/trash can icon at the bottom of the popup.

Whether one chooses to use Magician or not is not simply tied to Rapid Mode. I use Magician as a informational app only and don't use Rapid Mode. Additionally, if you've got more than one SSD drive as I do (in addition to NVMe's which don't support Rapid Mode) Rapid Mode will only one drive at a time (at least on the last gen drives listed in my system specs).

At any rate, I'm thinking this is either a bug, or there may be some type of firmware update about to release (or should have been released but wasn't/didn't).

Did you see my last post with the solution?

Thanks. Yeah, I did that after my first post.

Anyway, I see someone feels I'm not worthy of their acknowledgement. Yet they expect others to acknowledge them

If you're referring to me, then the lack of a response was just because I had nothing meaningful to add to what I said earlier. I only have the one SSD, I don't run Magician at start up, and I occasionally run it manually when I want to see its information.

You may be right. With Magician being aware of whether firmware is current or not, a general tip about keeping it updated doesn't seem logical. But that could still be what it is. Anyway, I'm relieved to know others are seeing the notice. Thanks to you, steve108, Ghot and Bree for the helpful comments.

I run it continuously for the same reason - I want early/immediate notification if it detects a problem.
