Hello. So, I have been buying the same Dell keyboard for years and they all have the exact same problem. After using it for a few months, the part of the cord that comes out the backside begins to malfunction. When I move the keyboard around on my desk, it'll disconnect and reconnect constantly. And they all have this problem. I need a keyboard that doesn't have this problem. Any suggestions?
Is it a Dell 69XMT ? they are my big favourite since a long time, in corporate environment they can take many years of abuses.
I have a Dell sk-8115. I have thought about buying a cordless keyboard in the past but those need batteries. I was hoping to find one with a reinforced cord. I'll keep looking.
I do move it around a lot on my work desk when cleaning. I forgot to mention that all of the ones I bought are used.
I've used Logitech K120 wired keyboards for years. Cheapish, but they have what I regard as a normal layout of the keypads.
The only thing I don't like about them is that the letters will slowly wear off the keys.

If you buy used keyboards the trick is to inspect it upon reception and if the cable is starting to wear at the case junction you can open it and move the cable to the inside of the case changing the cable "stress" point to an unaltered place on the cable.
I was thinking about going with cereberus' idea and just buy a new, cordless keyboard. I am not very fond of using keyboards with batteries but I think that would be better than putting up with this keyboard.
