Formatted USB SD card now ext HD files system has gone

As title
I have just formatted a SD card, extracted a bin file to it
As it happned i had my ext HD plugged in
I never selected this drive at all throughout
so the extraction of the bin file is sent to the SD card, it finishes
I remove the SD crd and open file explorer for the ext HD which is partitioned into two (was)
Its now an unallocated drive, no drives listed at all for the ect HD

It has all my saved pics, docs etc
What to do?

Hello, if somehow your ext HDD has been formatted, you might be able to use recovery software to recover the partition / data. Link below.

I would first turn everything off and hope when I booted the issue was a drive letter issue, maybe something got mixed, but not too much. Good luck, I hope you get your data back.
