Hi - I didn't knowingly pair the earbuds with the dell. It happened when I turned on the earbuds and I put one in my ear, went to music on the Dell and it played. If I go to the Bluetooth settings page on the Dell, the Dell isn't listed. So don't know how to unpair. If I look on the Kindle, the Dell is listed. I knew this was going to be a pain. You are very helpful but I think that this might be beyond my everyday pc skills. I will go look at the Amazon link you provided. Thanks again.

    It won't list itself.
    It should identify the earbuds.

I have never heard of any Windows computer pairing a new device without being told to.
    - The normal method of telling it to do so automatically is to set the checkbox for "Swift pair" so I suggest you clear that checkbox
    Settings,
    Devices,
    Bluetooth,
Show notifications to connect using Swift pair.
    [I've never used this setting.]

If any of this proves a problem, there are two useful screenshots you might post -
    - Settings, Devices, Bluetooth - always wait for a minute in this dialog because it takes time to 'populate'.
    - Control panel, Devices and printers

    All the best,
    Denis

Recent update- I went to device manager and checked Bluetooth. A bunch of stuff is listed - plus my earbuds and my mouse. I clicked on the driver info for the earbuds and it said no drivers are required for this device on one line then another one opened and it said drivers were Microsoft Bluetooth drivers - it was called DBK01Avrcp transport. Also said not migrated. I guess that's true for sure since it's not working.
    1. OK - the Dell won't list itself. 2. The earbuds are listed. 3. Sorry - I did say add device and it did add the earbuds.

I would not expect Device mgr to provide any useful info for your issue.

I think you should select the earbuds in the Settings diagram and Remove device [which unpairs it].

Does using the Kindle's pairing procedure, which I think will be roughly

    show the earbuds [DBK01]?

Check that the Kindle's Bluetooth is off--If I go to settings on the kindle, it says Bluetooth not connected. It said this before I removed in the settings page on Dell.
    - Turn on the earbuds, switch on their pairing mode [if there is such a thing - they might automatically be in pairing mode when they are turned on] I open the case the earbuds are in and take them out. I believe they are now on.
    - Turn on the Kindle's Bluetooth and go to its pairing dialog where you should see the same earbuds name you saw on the Dell's Bluetooth. I do not see any way to turn on the kindle Bluetooth. Also the DBK01 does not show up in "pair new device" on kindle. Here is a shot of the manual (such as it is) --

I am quite sure this is doable but there seems to be a glitch somewhere. Probably the same reason I can't add my Bluetooth mp3 player which would actually be my preferred. I tried it a couple of times without success so then I thought the Kindle would work- But no deal. I truly appreciate your efforts to help me with this muddle. Truly.

I have been looking at reviewers of the Kindle Fire 10 and many many say that connecting many different Bluetooth devices is just not happening. Of course, none of these reviewers knows why - so all just frustrated. It seems so straightforward so 'tis an unhappy outcome that I cannot achieve this. I've decided it's not my lack of skills - rather it is the lack of decent technology of the Kindle to get this stuff to work. Thanks again for your help.

Start with the Kindle's Bluetooth turned off. If it says it's not connected then it must be on so turn it off.
Then take the earbuds out of their case to let them automatically pair with each other before you start anything else.
Then turn on the Kindle's Bluetooth & tell it to start its pairing mode.
    What does it detect?

Didn't those articles I linked to help?
    - If one of them at least shows the right steps please tell me which one so I can study it and be able to follow your comments better.

If you cannot get it working, give up for the time being.
Go back to the Dell and [temporarily] pair with that again just so you can see the earbud lights performing [probably just as the manual says but maybe slightly differently]. Then you will know how they ought to be behaving when you go through the pairing procedure between the earbuds and another device.

Please tell me about your attempt to pair with your mp3 player.

Is the full name of your Amazon device Kindle Fire HD 10?
Is one of these the correct manual?
Amazon Fire HD 10 Manuals | ManualsLib [I read this and it does not mention Bluetooth at all]
Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet User Manual / User Guide - RUSTYNI.COM [also read, also useless]
AMAZON KINDLE KINDLE FIRE EBOOK READER USER MANUAL | ManualsLib [also read, also useless]

Is there any online-accessible user manual that mentions Bluetooth?
    - I found this https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...DXXK9NZ6FMB8PJ but there's no mention of Bluetooth.
    - I did stumble across this but it's for another Kindle model https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custo...Id%3D201730070

What is the full name of your mp3 player? Maybe I can find its manual online so I can advise you.

Hi @patriceltic, can you identify exactly what Kindle model you have (aka model number)?

Hi All - Thank you so much for trying to get this thing working -- The model is Fire HD 10 (11th generation)
this link will take you to the customers who have experienced problems with Bluetooth connections just so you can see how many different types of issues with different devices.
    https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08BX7FV...details&th=1--

Here is a line from the features of this kindle 10 on the AZ page: Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 LE with support for A2DP compatible stereo headphone, speakers, microphone, and LE accessories

The MP3 player is Ruizu x52 model. I have the manual that came with it - I have followed their instructions as well - the Bluetooth selection comes up when I scroll thru (books, videos, etc) -- still can't get it to connect but maybe we're getting closer.
Also - the links you provided to help with Bluetooth on Amazon did not help. Also, indications on the page said instructions were for Kindle 8.9 and 7. Would that make a difference? At any rate, link did not help.

Earbuds -Lanteso DBK01 -- I don't believe they have a website. At least not thru Amazon on the page where I bought them.
They are cheap - do you think if I spent more, like maybe 25, I would have better luck? These were 15.99.

Once last thing - I believe you said to remove the earbuds from the Bluetooth device setup page - should I do that before I try to pair them on the OFF Bluetooth pairing page? Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your efforts. Patrice

Last things first, I have seen problems pairing earphones if they were still paired with a previous device so I have got into the habit of always unpairing first unless the earphones specifically state that they can cope.
Since there is some uncertainty about what's going on, I think you should unpair from the Dell before you try pairing elsewhere.
Once you have succeeded in pairing with your mp3 player, you might want to try experimenting but, for now, I think unpairing would be for the best.

I've downloaded what I believe to be its manual [39 pages].
Is this the right manual? x52 English.pdf
I'll read it then post again. In the meantime, please unpair from the Dell.

No. Nothing you have posted shows any indication of the earphones misbehaving.
My first Bluetooth earphones cost £5 [≅ $5/6/7] and lasted several years.
Are these them? www.amazon.com/Lanteso-Bluetooth-Headphones-Earphones-Waterproof/dp/B0914QVXFS If so, I can search for a manual.
Is this the right manual for the earphones?
Earphone manual moved to next post.

    Back soon,
    Denis
