How to get Samsung S10+ to be seen on Windows 10

    Thanks for that. I never seen that come up on the phone he has. I'll have to see if that USB connections settings come up.

    If its not on the screen when swiping down, would that USB connection settings be located elsewhere in Samsung?

    That dialog comes up on the main screen only when the phone detects a USB connection.
    It's not one of those that you swipe to make it appear.

    You used to be able to tell the phone just once that USB connections would always be file transfer / power only / tethering / whatever. I cannot remember which Android version stopped that [and forced us to make the choice upon every USB connection] but it was something like 4 or 5 years ago.
    [I used a Samsung Galaxy A40 for a couple of years until it failed in July.]

    Update,
    Thanks to all those that assisted. I found the problem, Old mate was not using the proper Samsung phone cable. After changing cable and installing USB driver for that Samsung S10+ phone. All works well.

    I can now mark this post as being Solved.
