    Thank you all for your help. With my home built pc there is a board by Asus. When you install Win 11 there is a Asus utility at the end you can skip which I did and that is where my driver was. I reinstalled unchecked what I disliked -Norton etc. - and now I have my drivers ok in device manager. I don't like this but it is what it is.

    so you are prepared for any future need for reinstallation?

    I continue to use Macrium but just discovered thy have really change their enrollment etc.
    I, of all people really need images I can rely upon.
