    Ram questions

So I have 2 ram sets but one is a 32 gb set and the other one is a 16 gb set. I saw a video a long time ago of someone having 48 gb of ram. Would it be stupid to use both sets on the same computer or does it reall matter?

If you have to ask, you probably don't need it.

Even 16 GB is enough for majority of users. Use the one with higher click speed (if your MB support it)

Whether it matters or not is dependent up whether the computer [specs for it are not in My Computer] supports more than 16GB and whether the 2 sets of modules are identical in all respects except the size. Also involved is whether they are DDR2, DDR3 or DDR4, they are not interchangeable. Of minor importance is whether programs being used would benefit from more RAM, Windows 10 and Windows 11 work well with 4GB but better with 8GB. My 3 Desktops have 16GB but don't often hit their limit.

That depends what you use your computer for. I would definitely use 48GB and set 32GB for ramdisk, where I would install a game, office, VM or etc, thus improving it's loading speed.

Unless you're doing some serious rendering, 32GB would be plenty.
Save the 16GB in case the 32GB develops problems.
Just because you have 48 hot dogs, doesn't mean you have to eat them all at once.

It should be OK if the RAM is matching sets of the same type, else you might have problems.
