    Cannot find a SSD ribbon cable and 14 pin connector


    I broke my ribbon cable from its connector and need a replacement. The connector is 14 pin and has a reference printed on it DD0NL8HD000. The ribbon is an AWM 20624 80C 60V VW-1 HF and is 5cm in length. I can buy a similar ribbon and a similar connector but do not have the skill to glue the two together. The motherboard was a gaming motherboard named Proteus. Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier that can help me? My laptop is 4 years old but was quite expensive and without this cable and connector just sits on my desk. Windows 10 Pro.

    You might try contacting the manufacturer of the laptop to see if they have the cable.

    If you know the exact connector and cable Digi-Key will make the cable for you. I have had them make a couple custom cables for me.

    Hey, I might have found one on Ebay? That one doesn't have a ribbon but there are others on eBay that do.

    DD0R11HD000 HP Pavilion G6-1000 Series HDD Connector (F5893) | eBay

    Update, well that's not quite the correct part number, sorry. There are others there that reference the laptop rather than the part number. You might find one.

    Thanks MisterEd and TidySean, I appreciate you taking the time to help. I have images of the cable and connector so will contact Digi-Key to ask them to make me a custom cable. The manufacturer was PC Specialist and they sent me the only one they had which was too short.
