Plugging in daisy-chained monitors makes the system go to sleep

    MSI GT80 Titan SLI
The monitors are two Dell 30" QHD monitors U3011, connected via Mini-DP to full size DP and daisy chained.

As soon as I connect the mini-DP the machine goes to sleep and never recovers from it. Have to force a shutdown.

It works fine without external monitors. Or if one is connected via HDMI, the other via Mini-DP.
