    How to merge disk partitions

See image attached. I installed a new NVMe drive (Disk 0) today and was trying to clone the boot drive (Disk 1) onto it and I messed up somehow and now I have the recovery partitions and two large partitions. Every time I try to create a new volume it will only do it on the smaller (231GB) of the partitions and not on the larger (1.6TB) one. I want to either erase everything and start over or I want to merge the two partitions together and then create a new volume from that.

The disk management image displayed disk 0 as a dynamic disk.
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...-dynamic-disks

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...o-a-basic-disk
    Code:
To convert a dynamic disk back to a basic disk you must delete all volumes from the disk, permanently erasing all data on the disk. Make sure you back up any data you want to keep before proceeding.

    The others are basic disks.

    1) Find a flash drive that you can format (> or = 8 GB)

    2) Create a bootable Windows 10 iso:
Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10
    Download Windows 10 ISO File
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

    3) Perform a clean install on disk 0
    Clean Install Windows 10

    4) Make a backup image of C: from disk 1 and save the image to another partition on disk 1, another disk drive or the cloud
Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

    5) Restore the image onto disk 0

Disconnect drive 0 and check you can boot ok.

If so, you do not need anything on drive 0 and it is easier just to wipe drive completely using a 3rd party tool like minitool partition wizard free or use diskpart commands.

From an admin command prompt, type

    diskpart

    select disk 0

    clean

    create partition primary

    select partition 1

    format fs=ntfs quick

    exit

    exit

Thanks guys, I got it figured out the recovery partition stuck in the middle was preventing me from merging them, so I got that moved and I was able to merge the two partitions. Thanks
