To install/update the driver FOR THIS COMPONENT ONLY

Snappy Diver Installer Origin (SDI Origin - NOTE Use the Origin version ONLY)

Absolutely IGNORE any other drivers listed/mentioned, it's only the wi-fi adapter drivers you're looking for. DISREGARD all other suggestions/recommendation for driver updates/installations (If they ain't broke, no need to fix 'em)

Can you remove the card and replace it with a usb device?
To have a hardware device "greyed out" normally indicates it has failed,or perhaps a removal and reseat might work.
    How old is the card?

Yes.. Event tabs for the wifi AND the USB "port reset failed" show that the devices failed to start and reports that it's not connected to the computer. It's an integrated onboard network adapter. The Ethernet adapter works - I am connected to the network via Ethernet -> router. Just the wifi is gone. It, at one time, worked - it only changed since a week ago. In fact, until this problem it has ONLY been connected to the LAN via WiFi. It's not used every day so I can't imagine why it worked a week ago and the next time you log on, it's not working.

I appreciate the suggestion. If I'm already going to nuke, it's worth a shot. I never heard of SDIO - reputable?

Yep, use it all the time - but as I say, ONLY EVER for missing or "broken" drivers. NEVER for an indiscriminate and/or arbitrary driver update, just for the sake of it. And don't let curiosity get the better of you, because it definitely will throw up all sorts of update options. Not necessary if those components are working fine.

And only the ORIGIN version (the other "plain" one works but is full of adware/bloatware/unecessaryware)
