    Explanation of UEFI/BIOS settings

Has anyone got a link to a website that has an explanation of UEFI/BIOS settings?

Chapter 2 in your motherboard manual, is about the best you're gonna find.

The thing about BIOSes, is that the motherboard manufacturer can "reprogram" the BIOS chip, whenever they want.
Over the years, I've seen a few sites, try to keep up, but it's a losing battle.

The BIOS chip is like a chalkboard. It's just somewhere to "hold" some writing.
What is written on it, depends on the teacher, the subject, the class... etc.

Consequently, it's hard to make a chalkboard "guide", other than to explain how to clean and care for it... for example.

Yes. But they usually say things like Enable, Disable without saying what the setting is about.

Welcome to the world of BIOS settings.
The best explanations, are found in the motherboard manual. These days, the manufacturers are really skimping on the manuals, too.
Even when they DO put explanations in the manual.... the BIOS settings and reasons for those settings, change too fast to keep up.
I have a relatively new ASUS x570 chipset motherboard, and there has already been 20 different BIOSes for this board.

It's best to find an "overclocking" guide for your motherboard. that "may" have some further information.

    I would start with Overclock.net
It's a huge, old site. This is where the folks who tinker with their BIOSes, a lot... hang out.
Mostly, they tinker to make things go faster... but every now and then... you'll see "some" explanations, of "parts" of the BIOS.

The best thing you can do is tell us, what specifically... you want to know about the BIOS. Like what setting, (singular), you want an explanation for. Or what you are trying to accomplish or understand.

Asking for a BIOS "guide" is like asking for a "guide" to the universe. You'll have more chance of getting your answer, if you ONLY ask for an explanation of some small part of the universe.

In the past 20 years... I've seen a few brave websites... "attempt" to make a BIOS guide.
Those sites and their attempts... didn't last very long. It's too big of a job for anyone or any site.

It's like trying to make a guide for each drop of water in a.... river, or ocean.

When you DO get stuck on a BIOS setting or two... make a topic about that setting.

Seeing your Windows version number... I'm guessing you have questions about BIOS settings related to Windows 11.
We have a forum for that... too.

Ah... I see you've already been to Eleven Forum. As I mentioned... you'll need to ask a more specific question.
Something like (I'm just guessing here), How to set my BIOS for Windows 11.

This is an old Post (2009)

Even if it is a older bios Most of the settings explanation are still current.
