wont mount my usb drives or cards after clean install.

    Hi guys.
I made a clean install on my Asus ROG and should not have done that. I have done all the updates and install on it I should have done still many things won't work. This is a major thing. IT WON'T MOUNT ANY EXTERNAL DRIVES!
I can see them as healthy drives in "create and format hard disk partition" but not in file explorer, so I canīt reach them. What is wrong?

Can see them ... where/how? In what program?

That message sounds like the device is recognising them but as uninitialised/unallocated drives/partitions.

    Have you tired ....
    - drives in different USB ports
    - different cables
    - USB drive(s) and cable on another computer/device
    - other USB devices on your USB ports

    Process of elimination .....

Check and enable automount if it is disabled.

Enable or Disable Automount of New Disks and Drives in Windows

Not in a program, in explorer like I wrote, the same cables work on my other computer. I tried ALL five USB inputs.

wow, automount is disable! strange when I just did a clean install. It didn't say how I would make it automount again, the article you linked to. I check again. Thank you VERY much :)

    Glad it worked.

And yes, you must be signed in as an administrator/ open elevated command prompt to use the diskpart automount, automount enable , automount disable commands and not users/peppe
