    Cloned Hard Drive -

I just finished cloning my Windows 10 hard drive.
    I rebooted the system , did a F10.
Went to Bios Setup. Than Storage.
I tried to change the Boot Order to boot from the cloned hard drive,
but the only drive that showed up was the old drive.
Do I have to do something else to access the new hard drive?

What happens when you disconnect the old hard drive?

Cloning a drive also clones the drive identifier. Trying to run both at the same time usually doesn't work without changing the identification. Cloning is best used as a backup system where if the old drive fails, take it out and install the clone.

The best way to replace you main hdd is to put the new one at the place of the old, then clone from another port, even put the source drive in a usb enclosure if needed for laptops. Then clone the Drive.

From Sata to Sata. The only time I have seen something like this was when the drive was killed by static electricity.

Verify cable connections, but if you where on sata port then switched to another one, there should be no problem there.

What exactly did you do to make the clone? What program? Have you tried booting with only clone (not source) installed?

I used the Aomei cloning. I disconnected the original hard drive and when I went into the bios , no hard drives showed up.

Does BIOS see the drive in the drive list. The drive list (if your version of bios has one) is usually in the main page or under storage devices/configuration. If the drive is not showing up in the list of drives then there is a problem with BIOS detection but that would have prevented a clone in the first place. If the drive is not showing up in the boot section BIOS is not seeing the drives boot information. Could be an issue with UEFI bios. Try to enable legacy mode and see if you can select a boot device. What's your make and model of the computer?

You should be able to swap drives with no problem. I suggest trying the process again with the same program or download and try Macrium Reflect. Macrium Software | Reflect Free Edition
