USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller issue

For a week or two now, I've had an ongoing problem where 3 - 4 of my USB ports from my motherboard stopped working and when I checked my device manager-- I have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point on it on a device called USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller. When I click it, it tells me that "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". And then I've started to have an ongoing problem where I cannot even access my BIOS, even when I do a safe restart through Windows Boot Recovery. It seems like when my PC boots before Windows 10 loads, none of my USB ports seem to be active and only the ones that still work, turn on and work perfectly fine when Windows 10 loads. And another thing is that there is an American Megatrends notification when my PC boots where it says there is no keyboard found and 0 usb devices are plugged in. However, I'm not sure if it shows anything, but it still properly tells me how much RAM has been installed into my PC.

I am not sure if I have a corrupted driver or if I have to download and update the driver. Is there anyone that could give me some guidance with this problem?

    Good day.

Did you try uninstalling it (also removing driver) and letting Windows Update checking for changes?

    Hi!

Yeah, I've gone into device manager and uninstalled it. Did the whole restart the PC thing where it should reinstall the driver. I tried looking for it somewhere else to uninstall like my devices or maybe my programs, but it only showed up in my device manager.

What is your motherboard? You might need to install the latest chipset drivers.
You could also scan with this to see, what it finds: https://www.drivereasy.com

Hi! I currently have an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING motherboard right now. I actually uninstalled the old chipset driver and installed the new ones from the ASUS website for my motherboard. I'll definitely try the drivereasy thing you suggested though.

Have you updated BIOS recently? The latest one is from 2021/08/26. BIOS includes the latest AGESA, which is needed by the chipset drivers. Previous BIOS update even mentions - Fix USB connectivity issue.

For the record, the latest chipset drivers on ASUS webpage are 6 months old.

I just finished uninstalled the old chipset drivers and installed the ones. From the drivereasy thing that you recommended, the only things that really showed up that needed an update were in fact my AMD drivers and some audio drivers, but nothing pertaining anything with USBs. I've recently installed the latest BIOS a few days ago, but that didn't work either.

Unfortunately, updating my chipset drivers to the latest ones didn't resolve my problem. I still currently have that yellow triangle w/ an exclamation point on my devices-- which is my PC and in my device manager for that specific device.
