Sometimes I check with Sumo (programs) and Dumo (drivers). It tells you whether update versions are available but nothing more. When you want to update, you have to do it yourself. It is only informative and I like that.

I usually use Snappy Driver Installer to find missing drivers when I am too lazy or don't have the time to find them manually from manufacturers. In some odd systems updating the chipset drivers (motherboard devices) would lead to BSOD without a fix. To correct that you have to use System Restore to go back (if there is any restore point available) or reset Windows losing all your data! So unless you are 100% sure, NEVER use such a utility to update drivers, install only the missing drivers. In Snappy, install only the green color (missing), not the blue (updates). Also bever use such utilities on a tablet! They always install the wrong drivers and you lose touch, rotation, sound and WiFi. You must always install only official drivers from the manufacturer's support site starting from the chipset (platform) driver. Never update them and use Windows Update Show/Hide Tool to hide (disable) ALL driver updates!

PS: Even after using Snappy Driver Installer to install drivers in a non-tablet system, I always make sure I install latest graphics driver directly from manufacturer's site to have maximum performance and enable all features. For very old Intel graphics that have no official drivers, I let Windows Update to find the driver. By the way, for Intel Mobility 4 family (GMA 4500) there is an unofficial Intel 64-bit driver that also enables the Intel Graphics Properties!
