why won't my powered 3.0 usb hub work after kb5004237 win10 update

Today this update to Win10 was pushed to my desktop computer and once the restart completed my keyboard and mouse would not work so I could not login with my user password to open the screen. After a lot of playing around with my usb plugs for them I figured out my powered 3.0 usb hub which they were plugged into is no longer working. Nothing on that hub will work now. Then I rolled back to KB5003254 but the hub still won't work even after moving it's usb plug to a different usb port on my computer.

How do I repair what this update did to kill my usb hub?
Thanks for any ideas you may have.

I have a couple of USB 3 self-powered Hubs and haven't had any issue with them and updates, they don't need drivers. Have yours been tested on a different computer, maybe the onboard/built-in ports need new drivers? The USB 3 Hubs usually are backward compatible, will work on USB 2 ports but at the slower speed.

I found this on the power hub website that fixed my issue.
Reboot your computer to try the luck.

Believe it or not, rebooting the computer sometimes just works.

By rebooting the computer, you need to turn off the computer completely, unplug the power adapter from the main, or remove the battery from the laptop. Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute before you restart the computer.

This will let the motherboard to reboot itself, and the USB driver may work as it should.

    Thanks for your comment Berton.

In addition to what is being said. If the Hub is not working when plugged in, press the Windows key +X and choose Device Manager. If there is a yellow flag next to a device under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, Right click it and Uninstall it. Now unplug the USB cable from the computer end and follow the instructions in post #3. Plug the power adapter to the hub directly into the wall and not thru a Power Strip which diminishes the power. When the computer comes back up, plug the USB cable for the hub into the Back USB port of the computer, preferably a different one, and not in the Front port as these ports are weaker. You should get New Hardware Found and the Hub should start working again.
