NavyLCDR having more than one partition just makes it easier to store different information or data.

Right now I have lost 2/3 of the thumb drive unless I can figure out how get the two partitions formatted. I suppose I need a third party software to do this. I just don't know a free software that will do this.

    Any suggestions?

First, are you on Windows 7? Windows did not support multiple partitions on USB flash drives until version 1703 of Windows 10. So if you are on Windows 7 you have to go back and use the commands I posted in post #6.

MiniTool Partition Wizard Free is the partition manager I use:

Even on Windows 7, MiniTool Partition Wizard will format the multiple partitions on the flash drive, but you will not be able to use any partition except for the first one in Windows 7.

NavyLCDR I have been trying to format on Windows 7, but I also have Windows PC that I can try formatting the thumb drives.

Matthew Wai, I have no idea how to test a thumb drive. I can say I purchased these two drives from Amazon.

    Hello @huffman,

Did you watch the video at the top? It might help explain things for you. Also, down the very bottom of the page there is a Downloads section for the different download types if that is what you mean.

    I hope this helps.

I'd wager that with most products on Amazon there was a statement about a company/business offering the product but being Fulfilled by Amazon.

The blue bit in Matthew's post is a link to the testing program, which you have to download - just tried it myself.
