    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSoD

This is happening on a Lenovo V145-15AST.

The first it happened was around a couple of days after I used CCleaner's new Driver "Updater". I used CCleaner's inbuilt driver rollback but it wasn't able to restore them all. I had made a Windows system restore before I first used CCleaner's driver "Updater", so I restored to that point and thought things would be o k.

Then around three days after it happened again.

I have downloaded the Power Management driver install file listed here on the Lenovo website for V145-15AST laptops and netbooks laptops and netbooks :: lenovo v series laptops :: v145 15astcontentdetail - Lenovo Support US

This is what the file shows when I run it: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSoD-lenovo.png

    Help is needed

Personally, I think using 'driver update' software is not a great idea. Why trust 3rd party software when you can source the best drivers yourself or leave it up to Windows Update?

To save yourself time chasing tails, if you are still getting BSOD's I would reinstall Win10 and start over. After that, Windows Update does a great job at driver installation.

Yeah I never had good experiences with 3rd party driver updating software (Ive even had an issue with 1st party). Thought Id give ccleaners "updater" a spin but I shouldnt have.

That's why I put "updater" in talking marks. I dont agree that it updates.

If it aint broke dont fix it. Security shmurity.

Personally Im not going to reinstall win10 but out of curiosity, are you sure drivers are restored to factory ones if you reinstall win10? I thought drivers are independent of os.

It is still happening and it is getting worse.

Now the screen will turn off without any BSoD shown.

I have also asked for help on Lenovo forums DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSoD-English Community

I already tried, see opening post.

I am going to factory reset my machine, will that reset all the drivers too?
