One more thing I suggest is for the OP to download and run Crystal Disk Mark. Maybe the disks will have a reasonable performance.

The Wish web site is a mess. Not only is it confusing and hard to find things but even when you do it is sometimes impossible to find something again.

I found the following but don't ask me to say how because I can't even find it again. If the OP was showing a picture of a case then this might be it. I am not even sure because there are a lot of items that look the same.

After the OP ran Crystal Disk Info it could not even identify what he had. I suspect that it is at best a counterfeit item. People that make items like that do their best to hide or obscure the identity of what they sell. Because of this I doubt there is any warranty on items like that. How could there be when you don't even know who made them.

I don't recommend anybody buy anything from Wish. For me it is much too dodgy a site to trust. Of course I can't tell anyone what to do. If you want to take the chance go ahead. Just remember these sayings:
    • Caveat emptor, or “let the buyer beware”
    • If somebody offers you something that sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

    MisterEd
    I totally agree
    I have asked twice
Cost as you know is a good indicator except if you buy from a real shark - that prices the non genuine at the same price as the real item.

and as you say we do not know what the actual drive is in the enclosure
OR indeed as I asked - can the OP read the files he thinks he is copying to the drive.

WISH platform found at Wish (platform) - Wikipedia
    • Wish was started by Piotr Szulczewski, a former Google engineer, as a software company called ContextLogic.
    • As of 2019, Wish was the third-biggest e-commerce marketplace in the United States by sales
    • Wish has been criticized for listing poor quality or counterfeit goods

After I connected an external drive to a USB port on my PC I ran chkdsk /f . A message appeared in Event Viewer that said
Corruption detected in the file system of volume E. Take off line to perform a Full chkdsk.

I disconnected my PC from the Internet and connected the external drive to the PC then I ran chkdsk E: /f.
This time Chkdsk reparsed 3 records. I rebooted and reconnected the PC to the Internet. It still took 2 minutes
for the contents of E: drive to appear. Maybe I should reformat the drive?

What we actually need to know is NOT the general nature of the advertised goods on Wish
What is vital to know is what did you buy and how much did the enclosure and the drive 2TB to go in it - cost
It is particularly unclear from your post - which drive you bought
    I have mentioned cost before

    From your actual posted adverts
Wish has been criticized for listing poor quality or counterfeit goods
and you can be assured that there is NO way that the posted prices can possibly represent a 2TB drive - they may represent the enclosure but certainly not a genuine quality SSD 2 TB or even a spinning 2TB hard drive.

At $53 for a 2TB SSD 2.5 drive it is I regret to tell you bound to be rubbish.

Plus which the advert is wrong as you cannot name a solid state drive a hard drive
SSD vs HDD: Which Is Best for You? – Intel

You cannot even buy a new (2.5 2TB hard drive of a reputable make for $53
You would get a Western Digital or Seagate for example factory refurbished for that, but $53 for a new 2TB SSD is just too cheap to be reliable

I am sure other members will agree.

It looks like Wish is buying drives and enclosures in bulk. They could be from various manufactures. They could be from any source including auction, discontinued, etc.

When they advertise a no-name external hard disk drive both the enclosure and internal drive could be from any manufacturer.

When they advertise a no-name solid state disk drive the drive could be from any manufacturer.

This way they can pass on the savings by not having to guarantee a particular manufacturer. The disadvantage to the buyer is that the manufacturer is unknown. Also, there probably is no guarantee or warranty on these items.

I succeeded at analyzing one of my external disks with Crystal Diskinfo; all you do is click on Disk and a list drops down. If the drive does not appear click on Edit and select Rescan. Rescan did not find one of the drives so I obtained a list of drives that Crystal Diskinfo interfaces with. Once I find out the manufacturer and the serial number. I am going to ask Crystal why my disk isn't listed.

I would like to thank you guy`s for your patience, I now know how to publish results obtained with chkdsk in Event Viewer.

I have one of these in my drawer of unloved and unused devices! every time I used it, I needed to rescan and correct drive errors.

If you can, get your money back!

    Good luck with it
The results from event viewer when you open the log have a COPY on the lower left of the results window
You simply click that, it copies it to ram and you paste it to the reply here.

OR if you have more than one to do - you paste to notepad for example and then - from notepad - copy selection and paste here.
