No Right Click Eject menu For USB Flash Drives

I was troubleshooting a product issue and was advised by their customer support to update my usb drivers with the free version of "Driver Hub". After installing the new drivers the usb ports would not work properly so I reverted back to the old drivers.

The problem now is the right click/Eject context menu is missing. I can only safely remove from the taskbar. This is the same for all usb ports on my machine.

Is there any way to get back the right click/Eject menu?

    Your advice would be appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Chris

Thank you very much for your reply Paul. In my case the issue is different. The safely remove function in the taskbar works fine.

What has disappeared is the right click/Eject context menu for usb flash drives. I was hoping to find a way to get it back. Its there for my DVD drive but is missing from my usb drives.

    Kind regards
    Chris

    Have you checked system restore?
Driver update apps usually make a system restore point
so that you can undo the driver update.
What I'm seeing in your screenshots is normal on my laptop.
The eject is normal for my dvd drive.
If I connect an external dvd drive I get the eject option.
If I connect any other external drive or thumb drive I don't get the eject option.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately there is no system restore point before the problem occurred. I always used to have a right click/Eject menu for usb flash drives but not for usb mass storage devices. I suspect the problem is the computer is now treating all flash drives the same as mass storage devices.

There is also the possibility that a recent Windows update removed the Right click/EJECT option.

    Kind regards
    Chris
