Both my fixed hard disks are showing unallocated - how to proceed

I made one hell of an error last evening and now i am unable to reboot into my OS (Windows 10)

On using some tools from a bootable iso, i saw that both my hard disks were showing as unallocated and even uninitialized.

Yes there is data that i require on this disk

Will the experienced people in this forum please help me as to what to do, how to do and in what order to do, so that i can restore my partitions, reinitialize my disks and recover my data.

    Thank you

    A desperate me

I urge you to do nothing at all with the computer until @jumanji has joined the thread and suggested your best way forward.

He is not in the same timezone as you so I cannot say how long you will need to wait.

While you're waiting, what was the "hell of an error?" It will help others and @jumanji on the best way to proceed. Thanks.

What was the serious error? And, you have no recent full image backups on external media, correct?

I have an image that dates back to Dec 2020 and the recent image dated a week ago is trapped on the data drive along with other data on the second disk. But like i said BOTH disks are showing not initialized and unallocated

    Hi @perfection

"I made one hell of an error last evening and now i am unable to reboot into my OS (Windows 10)"

Please explain what exactly you did.

    "
On using some tools from a bootable iso, i saw that both my hard disks were showing as unallocated and even uninitialized."

Let us know what bootable ISO you used.

Use it again , take a snapshot of the drives and post it. That can help other experts to deliberate and suggest if your system could be resurrected. If it could be resurrected and you can boot into the OS that will help to recover data from the second drive. ( That in any case is not in my domain. I am not a Windows 10 expert .)

"I have an image that dates back to Dec 2020 and the recent image dated a week ago is trapped on the data drive along with other data on the second disk. But like i said BOTH disks are showing not initialized and unallocated"

What imaging software did you use? Have you made the bootable recovery media for that imaging software so that you can run it and restore the recent image from the second drive? ( We shall try and recover the image from the second drive if you can pull it out, put it inside a working enclosure and plug it in on a working PC)

What i did: I was experimenting with creating a vhd file from my system partition using HDclone and when i saw the amount of time it was going to take (compared to the time it takes me to make a free Macrium image) , i canceled the job as it was late into the night. When i booted up this laptop later the error message i found was that there was no disk to boot from

My laptop has an SSD which is dedicated for the OS and UEFI boot ((have access to an old Macrium image dating back to Dec 2020) AND a 1 TB HDD for data (no image of this.

How i reacted: I panicked and decided to fix/rebuild the MBR using the windows recovery (which did not work) disk. I then decided to save my data in the non imaged disk using a bootable iso and that is when i found that both my disks were showing not initialized and unallocated.

Posted the issue on this forum to get help on how to initialize (possibly command prompt) and am too scared to run disk part etc and would like to try to get the partitions and data back before starting from scratch. I am unaware of whether initialization should be done as i am unaware what the consequences are in this circumstance

Thank you all for your advice and jumanji in a particular

Assuming you can take pics from that boot media.
If not, you can borrow mine
    1904v3.iso
can be extracted to bootable usb using this:Usb7ice.zipUsb7ice.zip
