Can't get my scanner to scan

I first manually installed my printer from an INF after trying to run a setup utility. Then when running the scanner app it is stuck on "Establishing connection with WIA Canon MF4100 Series." My printer is Imageclass mf4150.

I am not familiar with that scanner app, but......

I have a rather elderly Canon MX410 multi purpose printer. Long time ago, I gave up trying to get scanning to work with the native Canon apps. I found this app in the MS Store that, in my opinion, is as close to perfect for scanning with any printer that there is.

I do not care for 99% of what is in the Store, but this is the exception. It auto finds your hardware and is as close to plug and play as you can get. It does an excellent job. Price is right, too.

I tried that software, but what got my scanner to work was something called Vuescan, something that costs money but still not too expensive.
