Wireless Mouse keeps getting turned off automatically !

I purchased Lenovo's L-300 wireless mouse, around 1-2 months back from the local Lenovo store.

For the last 2-3 weeks, I have been noticing my mouse loses connectivity on its own randomly, at times just if I lift the mouse in the air & keep it back, it happens - sometimes just out of the blue - there's no consistent behavior to conclude what may be the issue.

It has this red sensor light at the bottom of it - it usually shows up when you lift the mouse but when this connectivity loss happens - it doesn't glow light.

I suspected may be battery has worn out but when I turn off & turn on the mouse, it works well for a certain while & again it loses power automatically. I'm literally baffled on what to do next.

I have used Logitech & Dell's wireless before on my W7 laptop - used Logitech for few weeks on my Lenovo too, never had any prob back then. I was wondering if you guys had any tips ?

With my Logitech's mouses - only when the mouse battery was about to wear off - I used to have issues & replacing the battery worked but with Lenovo, its totally different. I have noticed the issue is not with USB dongle of Lenovo.

Hello @goodlad welcome to Ten Forums.

Have you actually replaced the batteries in your Lenovo L300 wireless mouse?

    Thanks for the greetings

Well, I haven't tried replacing battery yet - mouse works fine for over hours at times, without any issues & out of the blue it stops working - so I'm not sure, if its a battery thing. Based on my experience with Logitech & Dell mouses over the years, they start throwing up issues - once the battery is dying & usually die within a day or 2 at tops - after the issues start cropping up unlike Lenovo - it works at times without any issue for a day or 2, then issue popsup - repeats for numerous times in a day & again stops, throwing any issues.

I will be replacing the battery in the morning & check if it fixes up but I don't have high hopes - which is why I raised this thread

Depending on the device and the batteries used... things like that can happen.
Without changing to known good batteries... it's hard to troubleshoot.
Batteries would be the 1st step.
