I just tried reinstalling windows on my laptop, and then connecting the controller. It didn't work. I also tried resetting the controller as well. I then tried pairing it on my laptop by pressing and holding the power button and the share button simutaniously. It worked. I tried the same on my desktop, but it still wouldn't work. So i removed the controller from bluetooth devices, unplugged my wifi and tried pairing it again by simply pressing the power button, and now it works. I'm not sure what's causing this. My guess is that the default plug and play drivers that windows installs may be a bit buggy.
