Windows 10 - No Mouse and no keyboard - what now ?

I have a Windows 10 PC that will boot into Windows 10 but neither the mouse nor the keyboard will respond at all.

It's as if they are not plugged in, but they are.

I have tried restarting numerous times and nothing.

Is there any way to get them back?

    Thanks

(I cannot get the Windows version number as I have no access to keyboard or mouse)

If you can boot Windows 10 into Safe Mode and let us know, the problem persists.

If you have installation media, boot it up and see if your mose/keyboard works in the booted media.

Otherwise, download it and create bootable usb then do as above.

Not sure if it matters, but when I was trying to get into Recovery mode where all the Advanced Options are, after successive failures to start Windows, the mouse and keyboard worked but stopped again regardless of booting into Safe Mode or "Unsafe (normal?) Mode"

    Hi,
    Just one...and the Restore failed

The keyboard was working at first (not the mouse)
So I thought if I deleted the HID drivers it would detect them and reinstall them....didn't work

Looks like you have to do a reset.

Have you tried plugging them into different ports? Black USB ports directly off the motherboard on the back of the computer would be the most reliable.
