    Internal hard drive partition keeps disappearing (z-drive)


    Hi,

    I have previously reported this issue & thought it was solved: -

    Int. HD partition Keeps Disappearing (Z Drive) others are OK

    However it continues!

    Anyone got any suggestions

    You show a NAS drive in your My Computer data, is Z: that drive? Some versions back aways Windows always assigned Z: to the first Networked drive that was mapped then worked back up the alphabet for succeeding drives, I kept that scheme on Win10 for Z: and Y:. Maybe there's an issue with the lettering for the NAS drive versus the partition.

    Can you do a screenshot of Disk Management showing the drives and their partitions?

    Does that partition disappear in the same manner if relettered to something other, say Drive M?

    Hi,

    All other drives stay & are good. The only problem drive is "Z". My NAS is mapped as a network access no drive letter and is not a problem.

    I have just updated to 21H1. So, lets see what happens now?
