Trying hard to understand. Right I will copy an image routinely to an external backup, and that will restore all partitions as they were at that point. Is that available in the minitool software?

By splitting C:/ into C:/ and D:/ am I not creating another internal disc to store my encrypted personal data such as the padding bear 2 movie, which is a great movie and if you disagree I will fight you.

Have I misunderstood something? What if I gave 120gb to C:/ and keep all personal files in encrypted D:/ ?

I certainly don't know a lot about China but I do know China is about ~1.3 billion and the thing about people is everyone is different.

Well, you use the program - e.g. Macrium Reflect - to create the image file, and then use that to restore one or more partitions from the image file if needed, either by running the program and using it, or booting the PC from its bootable disk.

I can't explain disk imaging fully for you here- there are Youtube videos and plenty of info on line.

You can certainly do that.. but first take advantage of the freed up 25Gb and extend the Windows partition into it.

Thank you dalchina for all your help, you are a legend.

To update you my friend. I used the Minitool to recover the partition, I then expanded C:/ and split it into C:/ and D:/. I then discovered the home edition of Windows does not have bitlocker but I found something called veracrypt and used that to encrypt D:/ where I plan to keep my personal files.

I feel organised! A great start and I owe it all to you kudos.
