Desktop DVD & USB combo drive?

Hi, I'm looking for a DVD drive with USB ports on it for my desktop. Or, a drive that will fit into the DVD slot that has USB ports?

    Thank you! =)

    Hi there
Not quite sure what you are looking for -- there's plenty of USB attachable DVD drives out there - very cheap as well so do you just want a DVD drive that connects to your computer via USB port or one that has extra USB ports on it that can be used as independent USB ports. Not sure if "there's any such animal" though for that option.

    Cheers

Yup, the second one. If there isn't a DVD drive with extra USB ports on it, then something without the DVD drive that has only the USB ports, or with USB ports + card reader?

Great but the link was just a way of letting you know I knew what you were looking for.

Most of these type of units are crap!!!, ship with doggy drivers or simply don't work.

So do the research, read reviews on brands and make sure you can connect it to your MOBO.

I get the neatness of all in one, I'm a bit of an advocate but decent portable external USB DVD/RW units are available as are USB 3 hubs/card readers, you can achieve all the connectivity you want.
