Can someone enlighten me here? I have done a number of RAID setups on "desktop" HP and Dell systems and have not encountered this simple problem before. This is a RAID-option-rom unit - HP Elite 8200 SFF and I already had the 8100 as a lab mule; it works fine in this regard. but this stubborn one I have updated BIOS [there WAS a problem in the earliest BIOS versions related to this issue] but still the system does not respond to CTRL-I though I have it configured as SATA Mode RAID and have ticked the RAID Option ROM setting in the Advanced menu of Setup. Tried repeatedly but there is never a response.
I slowed down boot, "full-featured" Boot so that it is even slower, and it seems to have plenty of time to pickup on CTRL+I but no response whatsoever. I also notice that it will display POST message "Press any key for ROM Messages" and that does not work either. Boot menu etc done via Function keys works.

Anyone have an idea of how to force this?

Thanks

Also if anyone knows this turf: on the 'sister' machine that does not have the above problem, it has a diff problem: I am using a matched pair of Seagate 4TB drives, which in Setup show correctly, but in the RAID option Rom setup [Intel] they show a max of 1.6 TB available to create RAID volume. Can this be worked around after the fact with a partition manager change? Why is it limited?
