UEFI does not recognize USB Boot drive

Well if its a notebook the keyboard should be working without issue in the BIOS. And I'm not familiar with a "Novu menu". Are you talking BIOS?

Oops! Don't know what happened here....sorry! MS= Microsoft account nothing there. Unfortunately this notebook does not have PS2 port. This BIOS (or UEFI?) does not have a Legacy BIOS feature ...perhaps its named something else? Its very basic. Only under the Novu menu two references are made to USB and Boot. According to Lenovo the Boot flash drive should appear under EFI Boot Devices sub menu where you can select it to start the installation.....but it is not there. When I select the EFI USB Device menu the installation starts immediately and the keyboard is disabled.

You probably need to disable secure boot if its on or as said go to legacy boot. Here is all the ways you can get into your BIOS.

EDIT: I can't read apparently they already tried all of this and can get into setup but don't seem to have USB drivers. Also at OP does this device run windows 10 or windows 10 S atm? you might be able to just reset the windows from the recovery menu. I assume you can't do this due to not unlocking the drive though. Also does the mouse work at setup you should be able to run though basic windows setup without the need of a keyboard just don't enter your key as MS already has that machine on file.

That OP is also saying they lost their BitLocker key. "Assuming" the drive in question is the OS drive, than yes, they can't do what you suggest. The only way into the drive is to wipe (reformat) it. That of course will also wipe the contents of the drive.

Anyway the OP seems to have a myriad of issues with that laptop, - The BIOS doesn't recognize the a USB drive, they lost their BitLocker key, and they're having Keyboard issues, so...

Wrong term, what is needed is the Legacy USB setting to Enabled so as to recognize the bootable drive.

As I said the OP has too many issues going, not just the USB issue so...

Anyway, they haven't reported back so who knows what's going on.
