So basically my mouse only clicks if i put my finger on a specific place, and it didn't used to have to do that. Previously, it worked wherever on the whole large button area. You might try to open it and see if the switch that is being pressed when you click the button is accessible. Try spraying it with a little contact cleaner spray (made specifically for electronic components such as switches, potentiometers, etc.). If that still doesn't help then it may have reached its useful service life.
Is it a few years old? I tend to have to toss a mouse every year or two.
There's a small plastic tab between button itself and micro switch it presses on, that's probably worn out. You'd have to open it to do anything.Then you would have to build up that plastic piece. It is about a year old, how would i open it? I can't seen any screws etc?
A mouse usually lasts more than one year. But if it's worn out just buy a new one. Cheap. Fast. Easy.
