USB Wireless Mouse - not recognized on one port or gets disconnected

    Hi all,

I have since some time my new Notebook (Thinkpad T14).
    Windows 10 Pro x64 20H2 - performed System Update.

I have a Logitech Wireless M705 Mouse as input device with an UBS-receiver dongle.

The issue is that I have the problem that on one USB port, when I plug in the USB-receiver dongle, that it is not always recognized.
If it is not recognized I can plug it into the second USB port, where it is recognized always ...
if it is recognized, sometimes after some time (could not determine a pattern could be some hours) that it gets disconnected (like not recognized) and stops working -> have to plug into the "working" USB port.

What could be the problem here?
How to investigate and fix what the problem is?

    KR,
    Max

Have you installed Logitech Setpoint, it contains a certain USB driver.
Also make sure to use Firmware update tool, it works on the second try.

SetPoint – Logitech Support + Download

To add: Have you also downloaded the unifying receiver software?
Logitech Unifying Software – Logitech Support + Download It usually used when connecting more than one Logitech device but it will allow you to connect the mouse correctly.
