    No device found


    I would like to connect an inkjet printer to my PC. Therefore I :

    • plugged the printer into an electrical port and turned on the power
    • connected the printer to my PC through a USB cable
    • downloaded the driver and installed it
    • went to Devices & Printers. selected Add a device
    • No device found

    I wonder what happened? I went to the Command Prompt in Administrative mode and ran DISM.
    It reported “The source files could not be found see https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=243077

    Now what should I do?

    Follow this: Use DISM to Repair Windows 10 Image

    Post the specific command you ran and results if it fails.

    Some printers are particular about which USB to use, 2 or 3 or maybe newer. It can depend upon the ports in the computer and the cable should match. Most I've set up used USB 2.
