USB Driver issues, Microsoft wireless receiver

The driver seems to be working fine, as it detects the device and gives it power. However, when I try to connect my wireless headset (from the Xbox 360) it shows that it finds the receiver but does not connect or show in the audio devices list. It worked perfectly in Windows 7, and I have already attempted to uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

On a side note, there seems to be a fair amount of USB issues when upgrading from Win7--at least for me. My keyboard (Logitech Wave, wireless) also had issues on upgrade, and still doesn't register in Win10 unless I use it on one of my front USB 2.0 ports.

When you said audio device list, you meant in Sound Properties in control panel ? Does it show in Device manager, check under Sound, video and game controllers and Human Interface Devices, any yellow exclamation points there, was this were it was showing as connected ? Number of different brand and makes of this headset, give make and model. Definitely can be compatibility issues with many older Devices. We need to know exact one your using too.

The receiver itself shows under the game controllers option. I'll update make and model numbers ASAP, probably tomorrow night.

o.k., check for any updated drivers as to which ones you are using now. Usually a software interface for devices like this in programs on PC. Might also need to know about sound device on system.

Not seeing any exact model numbers on these items, and it's been a while so I no longer have the boxes. However here are the links to what I'm talking about:

    http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Gamin...eless+receiver

    http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wirel...reless+headset

The headset shows that it syncs, but then goes back to flashing and no drivers attempt to install or anything like that. The receiver is installed and shows under Xbox 360 Peripherals > Xbox 360 Wireless receiver for Windows. In Windows 7, the headset would show under Sound Playback and Recording tabs, as it would allow sound through the headset as well as a microphone.

No yellow exclamation points at all in my device manager list, and also checked hidden devices.

EDIT: I'll also add I have tested a 360 controller, which works fine with the receiver. Possibly an audio issue?

If it is showing in Sound Properties as playback device, then need to make it the default device to use it as your speakers if have any are default device for sound device on PC. Not sure of compatibility of the driver software is possibly problem why i needed to know exact model. Model numbers are usually printed right on a device somewhere.

One you showed should as receiver should be compatible, looks similar to mt Xbox 360 Wireless Game Controller and Windows 10 had the drivers already, the second one shown is one i came across before as headset thought you might of had, but seen many one stated as made by other companies.

No, it doesn't show under Sound Properties--but in Windows 7 it did, which is why I'm a bit frustrated. It doesn't seem to register at all. When I click to sync the headset to the receiver, it seems to find it but no extra drivers or anything are downloaded to make proper use of it, which was done automatically in Windows 7.

Both the receiver and Headset are the official Microsoft versions. Nothing says "model number", but I see "ANATEL: 0162-07-1569" as well as an FCC ID #C3KWH01, and some other numbers.

Definitely not being recognized. Now comes with Wireless XBOX receiver and that shows in Device manager, does it also show in Control Panel under Devices and Printers, see my images as i have a wireless XBOX 360 controller ? There a button on receiver, try pushing it, what about device itself any buttons and assume batteries are good ? In Devices and Printers should show up there to, headset if being connected, recognized, then under Sound,Video and Game controllers in Device Manager.

Seen in second picture as once i push button on controller, now shows in Devices and printers. So sure no button on the headset ? USB device basically receiver being seen if in Devices like shown and Device manager.

Receiver shows up under devices and printers just fine, but the headset does not. Only a few buttons--power, volume +/-, and a sync button. I've tried pressing the sync buttons on both as that's how it should be set up, but it just blinks as if it's been found and then does nothing. Volume buttons also do nothing, and selecting "add a device" doesn't seem to find anything either.

Basically what i was asking about button on headset and also button on receiver. Yes not showing in Devices and Printers not being recognized, when you press button on headset windows would then install it and you would see this on your taskbar. Windows 10 has drivers for wireless controller we know this. Was not sure headset would need drivers, if it's same as links below is it a Microsoft brand, correct, not another brand as seen some other brands to make them ? Was it shown under recording device in Sound properties either since it has a mic ?

This looks like device you tried showing as your from Amazon.com, is it correct in ways ? Was this made for a console XBOX ?
