No ATA Channels

    No ATA Channels


    i formatted my pc, but there is no ata channels under ide ata/atapi controllers (my main pc,20h2)

    Also... you have American Megatrends listed as your motherboard. They only make the BIOS.
    CPU-Z will tell you the motherboard make and model.

    What is the point to this thread? Do you wish to use PATA (also known as IDE) devices?

    go to BIOS setup, and change from AHCI mode to IDE mode. (or IDE compatibility mode)
    then boot Win10 into safe mode to load the IDE/ATA drivers and then reboot again into normal mode (otherwise Win10 may crash into a blue screen when changing from AHCI to IDE or vice-versa and not booting into safe mode)

    reason why ata channels are not showing in Device Manager is because you are using AHCI based SATA controllers, which do not use ATA channel drivers.
